Day Wise Trip Itinerary
We assume that you will arrive in Entebbe/Kampala a day before the start of this thrilling safari.
You will commence this great adventure whilst taking the route to Kayunga/Jinja to conduct white water rafting on the mighty Nile River. It is planned that upon arrival in Kayunga/Jinja, you will go rafting! You may opt for the straining yet interesting grade 5 or a lesser tedious grade of at least grade 3. Whichever you opt for, safety, fun and thrill remain assured! Fish delicacies and golden beer produced from nearby domestic breweries will be available for you if you opt to taste! In any case, it is your time to enjoy, have fun and relax! After this adventurous activity, you will be transfered back to Kampala and relax at your hotel
The safari gets more interesting as we board the safari vehicle and head to the wilderness of Murchison Falls National Park. However, business at Murchison Falls must wait as we enter Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to experience life as we watch Rhinos charge and use their prized horns to dig the ground and as well break tree branches. Rhinos are endangered species and not easily found in plenty like at this sanctuary! Brace yourself for this activity and keep your camera close for those moments to take photographs.
After tracking the rhinos, we proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, arrive at the planned accommodation facility to relax and overnight stay.
This day of your Safari gets you to encounter with the natural establishment of Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison Falls National Park is greatly endowed with animals, birds, the Nile River and forests that will certainly give you beautiful lasting memories about wild life.
You will begin your exploration of the park with a game drive in the northern circuit of the park. There, you will encounter beautiful rolling plains. While in these plains you may view Lions, Giraffes, Hartebeests, Buffalos, Elephants, Bushbucks, Hippopotami, Spotted hyenas, Wild cat, lion, leopard as well as many of the other mammals of the park. For the birders, this area supports the Secretary Bird, Black-chested Snake Eagle, Tawny and Martial Eagles Carmine and Swallow-tailed Bee-Eaters among others.
You will get more of this adventure by travelling to Queen Elizabeth National Park to conduct yet another core activity of this safari-the tracking of chimpanzees and tracking lions. The distance between Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Park is relatively long but we believe that you will approach this safari with positivity and enjoy your adventure! More so travel is a component of great adventure! That bit of strain will give you some extra content to define this safari.
In the morning, you will enter the park to enjoy the thrilling wonders of Uganda’s wildlife. Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park with the game drive that will expose you to the diverse animal species. During the game drive, there is a possibility of seeing the Big FOUR members such as Elephants, Buffalos, big cats- Lions, Leopards. . Lions are elusive cats and chances of sighting them during the normal game drives are limited. To enhance the chances of sighting them, you will track lions during the game drive in Kasenyi plains.
Also, warthogs, Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas and many more species that are residents to this park are spotted along the Circuits during the drive.
Your time in the forest will also provide you with the opportunity to also see a variety of other primates (including the Colobus Monkeys and the Mangabey) and animals as well as birds and a variety of butterflies, flowers and other insects. Chimpanzees are the closest relatives to humans sharing about 98.7% of their DNA composition with humans. They are sociable, intelligent as well as communicative! Other interesting traits are their abilities to use stones to crush nuts, use empty pods to collect water plus using sticks for capturing termites from their holes. A successful track of the chimpanzees will give you good lessons about primates as well as beautiful lasting memories about Uganda.
After this expedition, you will have lunch and then travel to Bwindi Impenetrable forest for yet another memorable highlight of this safari.
This day will begin by assembling at the briefing point for guidelines about this amazing activity. After briefing by the specialized site rangers, you head to the forest. The trekking duration is determined by the position where the gorillas spent the night and their feeding range.
Once the gorillas are found, you’re allowed to spend an hour with them. You will enjoy this memorable experience as you stand just few meters from the gorillas watching them feed, play and even watching them bond with their young ones. You will be amazed at how these creatures have so much resemblance with human beings.
After this activity, you will relax at your lodge.
You will start this day that concludes this safari with breakfast and then after check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Entebbe. Along the way, you will enjoy Uganda’s country side which is abundantly blessed with eye catching sceneries such as the hills, vast banana plantations and herds of the indigenous Ankole cow grazing on the road sides. Surely, your journey will be filled with moments of memorable exposure to nature. Also, stop and take in a visit to the Equator that runs through Uganda. It’s marvelous to have pictures taken underneath the Equator Sign.
Generally, people tend to carry out non-scientific experiments, most of them are manipulated illusions and not authentic but fun to watch. These experiments involve pouring water in the basin and observe how it swirls in opposite directions in the northern & southern hemispheres at the equator line. There are also Curio and Souvenir Shops that you can visit. A couple of them have their wares nicely displayed and make it easier to shop for crafts
